We assume a=3, b=4
Then you must learn here
(a | b)2 = a2 | 2ab | b2
(34)2 = 32 | 2 x 3 x 4 | 42
=9 | 24 | 16 {We can note only one digit after each | . The tens digit will be taken as a carry on its left side.}
=9+2 | 4+1 | 6 {We start from 16. In 16. we will note 6 and take 1 carry which will add with 4. in 24, 2 will be taken as a carry in 9 and it will become 11}
=9+2 | 4+1 | 6
